Write it down

Feeling overwhelmed? Write it down. Feeling lost? Write it down. Feeling inspired? Write. It. Down.

Nothing has ever been so urgent that it wasn’t worth writing down. The 2–5 seconds it takes to jot a note won’t ruin the moment — it improves it.

You don’t need to write an essay. Just a few key points. A list. A sentence fragment.

Whatever gets it out of your head and onto the page. Writing things down — especially on paper — creates clarity. It reduces mental clutter. It makes the invisible, visible. It’s often the first and most effective way to take control when things feel chaotic.

Write it down. Get it out.

A phrase my manager has said several times in the past week:

“Writing is thinking.”

100%.

What gets written, gets done.

Ideas that are externalized become realized. They begin the journey toward being real.

Write it down. Get it done.

It’s not always easy. Most times, it’s not. Do it anyway.

When in doubt, write it out.

P.S. Are those hand-written index cards of that post I had on wasted time? You bet they are! That's how it started.
